Time in the desert invites reflection and change. Working with students in Utah's West Desert has challenged me in many ways. The inherent solitude of the place has been fertile ground for my spirit inspiring new ideas. I've attempted to capture some of these in the paintings shown here. I'm grateful to my friends Richard Kolopeaua and Lara Moorehouse for their hard work and aloha. I want to thank Tim Thayne and Rick Meeves for believing in us and sharing our vision.
