TRENTON
REYNOLDS
Several years ago I was introduced to the writings of early Gestalt theorists. Gestalt theory focuses on the human tendency to establish relationships between objects/ideas and search for groupings or completion. Many ideas involved in gestalt theory continue to inform my art making process. I am interested in the relationships between different media. In my art I search for connections between media, for underlying principles and how they are manifest differently by various media. I am also interested in the relationship between medium, context, and human preception and valuation. This series of paintings reflects some of these ideas coupled with images that respond to relationships that exist within my family. Contact Info.
