Consanguineous Forms
Consanguineous can be defined as something descended from the same ancestry, derived from the same beginings; and Form is the mode in which a thing exists or manifests itself. These bioimorphic forms are groupings of single entities that create a type of organic order, one entity effecting another, relationship groupings that flow and interact, as well as individuals that stand on their own and simply exist. They all were created from one large block, each piece coming from another, one was created to give another life and so on. All coming from the same beginings, one affecting another, much like living entities. For me the essence of sculpture is line, point, shape, space, and form. These principles were used to create these forms and give them life, and to animate the space in which they occupy. One of my favorite artists, Isamu Noguchi, states that ".it is the sculptor who orders and animates space, gives it meaning." Contact Info. |
