My art expresses personal experience through the visual language of symbols. Within vibrant, stylized landscapes, figures emerge who are magical, mythological, culturally diverse or all three. I am influenced by folk art which is simultaneously decorative and playful, yet has potential of deeper, mystical meaning.

My use of traditional water color as a medium is altered by collaged layers and patterns. Collage fractures the conventional water color surface, rendering it more flexible and compatible with quirky and whimsical imagery. Contact Info.
