My work is about the discord and harmony among visual signs. I am constantly sorting through and borrowing from the world around me. I then play these elements against each other in an exploration of form and meaning. Form deteriorates and recycles itself, surfacing and fading in a visual arguement. A discarded billboard for example, reveals layers of visual culture. Its eventual deterioration characterizes the historical conflict between man and nature, These billboards are also a play with the duality of opposites and simulacrum as the found object is combined with the artificial object.
