I have always loved the process of creation- using one's physical and mental ability to bring one's ideas into being. Recently, I have explored several styles and forms of craft processes and have looked to incorporate these often-overlooked art forms into my paintings. I love the delicacy and intricacy of craft processes, such as sewing. Thus, I have attempted to combine these forms with my paintings, in hopes that the viewer is able to recognize and appreciate these craft forms in a more apparent and demanding light. The eclecticism and bombardment of numerous craft forms in these pieces might somehow seem in disarray, but I feel that this collage of media and technique present several probing and exacting dialogues that, hopefully, will advance such dialogues and questions to a more personal level of inquisition.
